Bajaj Chetak is back !
Bajaj Auto Ltd has announced a return to the scooter segment after a decade with a revival of the classic ‘Chetak’ as an electric scooter. The new Chetak will be available in two variants, with each offering a range of 85 km and 95 km respectively.
Bajaj stopped manufacturing scooters in 2009 to exclusively focus on motorcycles in the two-wheeler segment. [via]

CBSE schools to offer AI, Python courses to class 8 and 9 students from 2020 onwards
Starting academic year 2020-21, CBSE will start offering AI, Python and neutral networks courses to students of Class 8th and 9th.
Curated by Intel, the curriculum will not only make students inquisitive but will also teach them basic tools that are required to develop AI-based solutions. [via]

LinkedIn launches Events Feature
After Linkedin’s pilot in November 2018 with a select group of members in San Francisco and New York, the product will now be available across all regions, first in all English-speaking markets on October 17, followed by non-English markets in the coming months.
LinkedIn Events is one of the first products built out of the Bengaluru Research & Development Centre for a global audience [via].

Amazon Pay users can now pay bills through Alexa
This new feature supports payment of bills across categories such as electricity, water, post-paid mobile, cooking gas, broadband, DTH and more. Users of Amazon Echo, Fire TV Stick and other devices with Alexa built-in can use this feature [via].

Flipkart forays into original video content, takes on Amazon and Netflix
Integrated within the Flipkart Video platform, launched in August, Flipkart Video Originals will be produced by well-known industry figures. Flipkart said it will produce “bespoke snackable content” that is both mobile-first and interactive.
“All the main players are primarily anchored around fictional content,” said Prakash Sikaria, vice-president, growth and monetisation at Flipkart, adding that while other over-the-top (OTT) platforms are focused on metropolitan centres, Flipkart would look at Tier-II and –II cities. [via]
